Woman attacked at Old Orchard

Police responded to a battery complaint at Old Orchard Mall on March 15 around 10 p.m. According to the report, a woman was walking to her vehicle when a man approached her and said, "I bet you wouldn't go out with a guy like me," the report stated.

The subject then grabbed the victim's arm and held a knife to her wrist, police said. The offender then scratched the woman's wrist at which point the victim pushed him away. The suspect would then flee the scene.

The man was described as a Hispanic male, about 20 to 30-years-of-age, goatee beard, wearing a backwards black baseball cap, leather jacket, gray scarf and light colored jeans, police said.

Police responded to a fight involving 20 youths in the 9100 block of LaCrosse Avenue on March 15 around 10 p.m. According to police, several juvenile victims were walking in the area when five teens began harassing them. The offenders then attacked them before fleeing the scene. No further information was available.

Assault

Police responded to an assault complaint in the 9100 block of Gross Point Road on March 15. According to the report, a man threw his garbage away at a commercial Dumpster. An employee told the man that the Dumpster was private, to which the driver said, "If my daughter wasn't in the car, I'd shoot you," police said. The offender then fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 25-years-of-age, 5-foot-10, thin build, brown hair and a tattoo on his right arm, police said.

Slashed tires

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 7400 block of Linder Avenue on March 15. According to the report, a man told officers that there have been several incidents of tires being slashed and cars keyed in the parking lot.

Police observed yellow spray paint on the north side of the an apartment building in the 9000 block of Lamon Avenue on March 15.

Stolen tiles

Police responded to a theft in the 7900 block of Tripp Avenue on March 15. The victim reported that a rod iron post with an attached frame holding four numeric street address ceramic tiles was removed from the front yard, police said.

Grab and go at Ulta

Police responded to a theft at Ulta, 5481 Touhy Ave., on March 16. According to the report, a woman selected several fragrances and fled the store without paying.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic woman, about 21 to 30-years-of-age, 5-foot-5 and a 130-pounds.

Theft at Nordstrom

Koudousse Agnide, 26, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on March 16. Agnide was arrested after he attempted to steal a shirt from Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall, police said.

Mauro Villalba, 33, of Des Plaines, was charged with retail theft on March 16. Villalba attempted to steal several pieces of clothing from Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall but was stopped by store security, police said.

DUI

Karen Nicklas, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on March 17. Nicklas was stopped in the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue.
