Woman Finds Burglar In Her House

A homeowner in the 4400 block of Harvard Terrace walked upstairs from her basement May 3 about 9 p.m. when she noticed a man in her bedroom. The man was wearing a hoodie which was drawn tightly around his face. The offender pushed the door shut against the homeowner. The homeowner ran outside and called 911 from a neighbor's house.

The offender was about 5'8" and weighed about 185 pounds. Stolen from the home were various rings, a Panasonic camera and $3,000.

Mercedes Spray Painted

A woman reported that two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and shorts spray painted her 2013 Mercedes E350. The incident occured in the 4600 block of Main Street on May 3 between 1:15 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Flat Screen Taken

A residential burglary was reported to have occured in the 8600 block of St. Louis on May 1 between 9 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. The offender entered the home through a back door and removed a flat screen TV.

Clothes Taken from Bloomingdale's

A retail theft was reported at Bloomingdale's, 4963 Old Orchard Center, on May 3 at 1:45 p.m. Store security saw two male black offenders enter the store and select numerous clothing items. The men ran out of the store while being pursued by security but were able to escape.
