Woman Found Dead in Home Hours After Christmas

Despite what some media outlets have reported, police say "no foul play" occurred.

A Skokie woman was found dead in her home just hours after Christmas day, police said.

Beth Sandberg, 43, of the 7400 block of Kenton Avenue, was found unresponsive around 3 a.m. Monday, police said. While the Sun-Times reported that the woman's death is "deemed suspicious," police would disagree.

"It's a non-story," said Sgt. Scott Anderson of the Skokie Police Department. "We suspect there was no foul play."
