The next Wednesdays on the Green event will be held Wednesday, August 17 at 6 p.m. featuring classic and custom cars on the green. It is hoped that Downtown Skokie's newest restaurant, Libertad, 7931 Lincoln Avenue, will be open as the "Featured Restaurant" on August 17. In the event that the restaurant is unable to be open, patrons who come by with a Wednesdays on the Green postcard will receive a stamp entitling them to a 20% discount at Libertad at a later date. Both Sweety Pies, 8042 Lincoln Avenue, and Village Inn, 8050 Lincoln Avenue, will offer a 20% dining discount on August 17 with presentation of a Wednesdays on the Green postcard. Discount only applied to dine-in orders at Village Inn. All other Downtown Skokie restaurants will offer a 10% discount on August 17 with presentation of a Wednesday on the Green postcard. All Downtown Skokie restaurants will offer a 20% dining discount from 4 p.m. to close on Wednesday, August 24 with presentation of a Wednesdays on the Green postcard.
