Skokie Plan Commission OKs Church For Retail-Designated Area

Skokie's plan called for a retail use, but the commission chair said that is 'remote.'


Though the area of Skokie Boulevard just south of Main Street is designated as being for retail uses, the Skokie Plan Commission voted to permit Cavalcade Redemption Center, a church, to locate there, according to the Skokie Review. 

Paul Luke, chairman of the Plan Commission, said the possibility of getting a retail property at the location, in the 8200 block of Skokie Boulevard, was remote, the paper said.
