Skokie's Farmers' Market is Just Around the Corner

You don't need to have a green thumb to enjoy fresh, homegrown fruits and veggies. Head to your local farmers' market in Skokie to find organic produce and other goods that taste better than anything you'll find on a shelf.

The Skokie farmers’ market is just outside Village Hall, 5127 Oakton St., every Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The market runs from June 16 through Oct. 27.

North Shore Magazine named the Skokie Farmers’ Market as the best in 2001.

The Village of Skokie Consumer Affairs Commission sponsors the farmers’ market and more than 2,500 people attend each Sunday. Skokie held its first farmers’ market in 1975, according to the village website.
