Shoplifter busted

Henry Khais, 22, of the 3100 block of Pheasant Creek in Northbrook, was charged with retail theft on Oct. 11. According to the report, Khais selected two items with a combined value of $840 and attempted to leave the store without paying. He was detained by loss prevention.

According to police, Khais later said he took the items because he was “stressed.”

Repossessed vehicles stolen

Two cars that were repossessed from Ludlow Acceptance, LLC in Skokie were reported stolen on Oct. 11. According to the report, the manager has no idea where or who could have taken the cars.

Theft from motor vehicle

A set of house keys was stolen from a car parked in the 4200 block of Oakton Street on Oct. 10. According to the report, the victim left the top of his convertible down.

Vulgar vandalism

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report a criminal damage compliant on Oct. 12. According to the report, an unknown person(s) used a black marker to write the word “BI***” on the victim’s car. The victim also added that an unknown person(s) tied fishing line across her walkway. The line was about shoulder height and was attached to two trees.
