Readers Choice 2012: Best Car Repair?

While Patch has had Readers' Choice contests in the past, this is the ultimate one, including businesses from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. The following were all nominated by you, the reader.

When you take your car in for servicing, you have to trust your car repair folks. After all, do you really know whether that pinging sound is going to cost you $100 or $1,000 to fix?

If you have a mechanic who fixes it right every time, and who's honest enough to tell you it'll only cost 50 bucks--and to be wary of any mechanic that wants you to pay $500--well, that's a mechanic worth hanging on to. And recommending to others, so they can stay in business.

Patch wants to know about that car repair place in its ultimate Readers’ Choice contest. While we’ve done similar contests in the past, this one includes businesses from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. Our 2012 winner will even receive an award for doing the best car repair in town. On a side note, we’ve also fixed our voting mechanism, meaning people can no longer manipulate the system.

To vote, simply login to your Patch account and select the business that you think has the best service. That’s it. Voting ends Aug. 17, at 5:00 p.m.
