Readers Choice 2012: Best Italian Beef?

While Patch has had Readers' Choice contests in the past, this is the ultimate one, including businesses from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. The following were all nominated by you, the reader.

There are food lovers who drive to the Chicago area just because they crave a really good Italian beef sandwich.

We're lucky to have plenty of places locally that offer this specialty beef sandwich, featuring tender beef slices, au jus with Italian herbs and spices, and either sweet or hot peppers.

Patch wants to know the best local place to get an Italian beef for its ultimate Readers’ Choice contest. While we’ve done similar contests in the past, this one includes business from Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. Our 2012 winner will even receive an award for having the best family friendly restaurant in town. On a side note, we’ve also fixed our voting mechanism, meaning people can no longer manipulate the system.

To vote, simply login to your Patch account and select the business that you think has the best product. That’s it. Voting ends Aug. 17, at 5:00 p.m.
