$1.6M Evanston Home Was Owned by Tinkertoy Founder

The Ridge Ave. once belonged to Roger Pettit who helped create the popular toy.

The stately Ridge Avenue home for sale has six bedrooms, more than 4,500 square feet, and its own little piece of history.

The home was originally owned by Roger Pettit, who helped found the classic Tinkertoy company, according to an article in the Evanston Review. The current owners spent $250,000 on renovations to restore it to what it looked like in the 1920s.
