Job seekers, seniors,  families, couples, students, and teachers are encouraged to advance your basic computer skills, catch up with the latest web gadgets, learn how to edit and share photos, or shop and search safely on the Internet. 

Course Offerings: 

• Introduction to Computing: Basic course for home users, all ages: Hardware, Software/ MS Office basics including Word and Excel, Gmail and browser basics. 
• Fun on the Internet: Surf, send, socialize, and shop safely. An introduction to social networks, email extras, group file sharing, and the latest FREE gadgets for the home user.
• Beginner’s Guide to Digital Photo Editing: Capture, upload, organize, and edit your digital photos, create an online gallery to share photos with friends and family, create original slideshows, make movies and burn to a DVD or upload to YouTube. Free editing software included.
• NEW! Computer Lab Sessions: Practice, Review with experienced teacher. 

Niles Township’s Introduction to Computing course meets 2 days a week for 4 weeks, fulfilling all prerequisites for more advanced classes. Internet for Fun and Beginner’s Guide to Digital Photo Editing classes meet 1 day a week for 5 weeks. These courses both require basic computing skills (PC) including familiarity with Internet and email. Optional Computer Lab meets every Friday from 12-2 pm (Session #1 from May 6-June 3, 2011 or Session #2 from June 10-July 8th)

Individual course fee is $75.00 for Niles Township residents and $85.00 for out-of-district applicants.The Computer Lab Fee is $30.00 per student, per session, open on Fridays, 12-2. Note: Course Fees include an instructional workbook. (Students must bring their own USB Flash Drive to save and transfer files needed for all classes.)

We welcome all ages. A Certificate of Completion is awarded last day of class. Because there may be more applicants for classes and lab than there are spaces, the first students to return this application and the class fee will be enrolled for this session.
