Course Offerings March 21-April 14, 2011

  • Introduction to Computing: Basic course for all ages: Hardware, Software/ MS Office (Mon & Weds 6:30-8:30 pm)
  • Web 2.0: Surf, send, socialize, and shop. An introduction to social networks, email extras, group file sharing, and the latest FREE gadgets for the home user and self-employed.
    (Tues and Thurs 6:30-8:30 pm)
  • NEW! Computer Lab Sessions: Practice & tutoring w experienced teacher “one-on-one” (Fri 12-2 pm, March 25-April 24) Optional lab for current students, recommended for all current and former students.

Niles Township’s Introduction to Computing course meets 2 days a week for 4 weeks, fulfilling all prerequisites for more advanced classes. Web 2.0 class also meets 2 days a week for 4 weeks. This course requires basic computing skills (PC) including email and some Internet.

We welcome all ages. Individual course fee is $75.00 for Niles Township residents and $85.00 for out-of-district students. The Computer Lab Fee is $30.00 per student, open on Fridays, 12-2 pm from March 25-April 22, 2011.

Note: Course Fees include an instructional workbook. (Students must bring their own USB Flash Drive to save and transfer files needed for all classes.) A Certificate of Completion is awarded last day of class.
