Spiritual Writing

Spiritual writing describes the indescribable, which is what makes the form so appealing for the seekers among us. To find the words is to find a small bit of truth for ourselves.

We will read short selections from contemporary American spiritual essayists including Anne Lamott and Scott Russell Sanders and talk about what makes spiritual. Then, using plenty of prompts, you will have the chance to explore your own spiritual light and dark corners. Writers at every level and from any spiritual perspective will benefit from this class.
