Lincolnwood Super Paid $39K Upon Resigning
New information regarding the resignation of superintendent Mark Klaisner shows he was paid a little over $39,000 upon resigning. Meanwhile, a group of Lincolnwood residents have created an online petition demanding the resignation of 3 board members.
Former superintendent Mark Klaisner received $39,455 upon resigning from Lincolnwood School District 74,
Of that money, $25,435 was from remaining payments under his contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Klaisner was also paid an additional $14,020, which was equal to his unused vacation time and personal days that accumulated during his time with the district.

Residents demanding more
A group of residents have created an online petition on Change.org demanding the resignation of three specific board members. The request seeks 2,000 signatures from community members and currently has about 120.
The online petition states: “The citizens of Lincolnwood have lost confidence in the school board to manage the district.”
On March 20, a $25-million referendum was defeated 9-to-1. Many residents have said that the referendum's defeat was a sign of "no confidence" in the school board.
