Niles North Junior a YouTube Sensation

Niles North High School junior Allegra Rosenberg was recently featured on Chicago Tonight as part of the program's look at how social media is changing the model for music distribution, and how teens with unusual passions like Rosenberg are making their mark.

Rosenberg is a YouTube sensation, writing and performing songs about the things that appeal to her. Her hit “Say Hello,” about an episode of Doctor Who that was penned by Neil Gaiman, a best-selling novelist, prompted Gaiman to tweet, “took me 3 years of scribbling and rewrites to make 45 minutes of Dr. Who, summed up in 2:29 by a smart girl with a ukulele.”
