Niles West News 2013 Pacemaker Finalist

The Niles West student newspaper has been named a 2013 NSPA online Pacemaker finalist.

For the third straight year, Niles West News (NWN) has been selected as a finalist in the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Online Pacemaker contest, which recognizes outstanding high school publication websites. Fifty finalists out of a record 252 entries were chosen as finalists based on content, design, writing and editing. NWN is one of 30 finalists in the 1,500 or greater enrollment category.

Winners will be announced at the spring Journalism Education Association held in San Francisco on April 27.

In 2011, NWN was awarded an Online Pacemaker award, as well as First Place Best of Show in the Publication Website Large School category. 2011 was also the inaugural year for NWN.
