Brandi Chastain, perhaps best known for her game-winning shootout kick in the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup, will be hosting a soccer clinic in Evanston this June. The gold-medalist is currently playing as a defender and midfielder for the California Storm.
The announcement was made by Team Evanston Soccer Club on Wednesday.
The clinic will run from June 24 to June 28 at the Evanston Township High School Lazier Field. Girls as young as eight can participate, as well as female high school athletes. Registration is $375 and a total of 160 seats are available.
For those interested in participating, contact Isaac Moushi at the Team Evanston Soccer Club at email@example.com or by calling at 847-606-5561.
"[Brandi Chastian's] game winning kick is probably one of the most memorable in sporting history," Moushi said. "This clinic will be a great opportunity to learn from an elite athlete that competed on the highest level - and won."
