Return of the Pizza Wars!
A dozen local pizza shops will raise money for charity during the second annual Pizza Wars on Jan. 19.
In an epic battle of cheesiness, local pizzerias will face off in the second annual “Pizza Wars” at Niles West High School on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the cafeteria in Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton St. Last year, Pequod's Pizza took home the honors of being crowned "Best Pizza."
The charitable event will be hosted by the District 219 Education Foundation for Excellence. The Education Foundation provides a variety of support and outreach to local students. Last month, Skokie Patch covered the story , where the Education Foundation was cited as providing food to students who didn't have enough money to eat.
