Skokie’s Sanford-Brown College recently opened its new dental hygiene clinic offering its students hands-on experience while providing dental care to the community, Skokie Review reported.
The new clinic features about $1 million in equipment and includes 15 stations where students will offer dental checkups that include cleanings, fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay, Skokie Review reported.
Sanford-Brown College, at 4930 Oakton Street opened in September 2010 and offers a variety of programs such as health management and surgical technology.
