Skokie-Morton Grove District 69 Appoints New Madison School Principal

Christopher Basten will replace Principal Chelsey Maxwell, who is leaving at the end of June.

Skokie-Morton Grove District 69 is scheduled to finalize the appointment of the new principal of Madison School at its May 21 meeting. Christopher Basten, 51, will replace Principal Chelsey Maxwell, who is leaving at the end of June, Morton Grove Champion reported.

Basten has served as assistant principal at Kimball Hill Elementary School in Community Consolidated School District 15 and before that he taught at Hubbard Woods Elementary School in Winnetka. Basten says Madison’s diversity of student population was one of the things that appealed to him about the school, Morton Grove Champion reported.
