The nominees for Patch Athlete of the Week, May 7 – May 13:
Sully Stadler, senior, baseball, Glenbrook South – Stadler got the win for Glenbrook South in a 3-0 victory over Maine South. Stadler had eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings pitched and the victory over their CSL South rivals snapped Maine South’s 18-game winning streak.

Reggie Murphy, freshman, track and field, Evanston - Murphy was a key contributor in helping the Wildkits win the CSL South conference track meet for the second consecutive season. Murphy was part of the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams while also securing an individual title in the 100.
Charlie Dowdle, senior, boys water polo, Loyola Academy - Dowdle scored four goals, including Loyola’s final score, to help the Ramblers to a 10-9 victory over New Trier in the sectional finals. The Ramblers defeated New Trier in the sectional finals for the second consecutive year.

Adam Nadler, sophomore, boys volleyball, Deerfield - Nadler helped lead the Warriors to a first-place finish at the Deerfield Invitational. The sophomore tallied 28 kills, four blocks and eight digs in five games. Deerfield defeated Grant, Joliet Central, Niles West and Von Steuben while losing to Providence in three sets.
Allie Managlia, junior, softball, Evanston - Managlia tossed a five-inning no-hitter against Ridgewood in the Niles West Tournament. The junior recorded 10 strikeouts in the game and also helped Evanston beat Whitney Young with six strikeouts in the 11-1 win.
