Little 9 Water Polo Clinic

District 219 is holding several sports camps this winter to help young athletes learn new skills, stay fit, and be competitive. There are D219 youth sports camps for water polo, softball, baseball and football, open to students who attend elementary schools and junior highs in Niles Township, and held at Niles North High School, Niles West High School and the Skokie Park District’s Weber Center Gymnasium. For more information on D219 Youth Athletics, go to www.wolves219.org or www.vikings219.org.

The Little 9 Water Polo Clinic is designed to introduce the sport of water polo to all grammar school, middle school and junior high athletes in a recreational format. This program will emphasize all the fun, dynamic aspects of the game in a safe, easy to learn aquatic experience designed to motivate children to swim and stay fit. The clinics will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 22 and Sunday, February 5 at the Niles West Pool, 5701 Oakton, Skokie. Cost for the clinic and tournament is $5. Swimfloats are available for those who may need it. To register, go to www.swiftaquatics.org. All participants will receive a T-shirt. For questions, contact Head Boys Water Polo Coach at Niles West and Swift Aquatics John Przekota at 847-626-2426 or johprz@d219.org.
