Niles West Bests Niles North In Skokie Skirmish

The Vikings tried to match the Wolves blow-for-blow, but couldn't keep up. The Wolves won 41-35.

The Niles West Wolves set the tone early in Saturday's Skokie Skirmish rivalry, scoring two touchdowns before the Niles North Vikings could catch their collective breath and score one. The Wolves led 13-7 at the end of the first quarter.

The Wolves continued to outpace the Vikings in the second quarter, going into halftime with a 28-14 lead. The game was suspended for risk of lightning at that point, and players and spectators had to clear the field.

Only the Wolves scored in the third quarter, building their score to 41, according to CSLInsider.com, but Vikings' running back Julian Garrett scored three straight touchdowns for a final score of 41-35 in the Wolves' favor.
