Stanley Cup Coming Saturday

Get there early. You may want to bike part of the way, because parking will be limited.

John McDonough, president and CEO of the Chicago Blackhawks, grew up very close to Niles, in the Chicago neighborhood of Edison Park.

When the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010, McDonough brought the Cup to a rally at Brooks Park, 7100 N. Harlem, Chicago. It's across Harlem Avenue from Niles' Pioneer Park.

McDonough will again bring the Cup to Brooks Park Saturday at 11:30 a.m., according to SecondCityHockey.com.  Niles Park District Executive Director Joe LoVerde also confirmed the time and place.

Spectators are advised to arrive early and walk or bike to the park, since parking in the area will be limited.
