Weather Dogs 'Woofstock,' But Pooches Persist
Vendors offered home-cooked dog meals and canine bakery treats in flavors like "cherry pie." And did we mention dog massage?
As drizzle fell on Skokie's Pooch Park Sunday, attendees at "Woofstock," billed (in tongue-in-cheek fashion) as a counter-culture festival for dogs, mostly stayed away.
For those who did attend, however, the canines didn't seem to mind the mud, chilly temps and gray skies. It just meant more treats for them from the various vendors.
