Chicago Bear Adam Podlesh to Lead Jewish Parade

The Great Jewish Family Festival is set to kickoff this Thursday at 4 p.m. Last year, more than 4,500 people attended the event. The celebration is aimed at celebrating the Jewish holiday of Lag B'Omer, which emphasizes education and Jewish unity.

Bonfires and parades will be held in Jewish communities around the world, and Skokie will be among those observing the holiday. The festivities will start at 4 p.m.

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the parade is the traditional Lag B’Omer bonfire. Last year, Chicago Bear first round pick Gabe Carimi led the parade and more than 4,500 attended the event.
