Eat Pizza and Popcorn This Week; Yes, You Heard That Right
It's National Popcorn Day Monday, eat pizza for a good cause, visit the Preschool and Daycare Fair or check out a teen book group, plus more Skokie-area events this week.
- In honor of National Popcorn Day, the Morton Grove Park District is giving away freshly-made popcorn from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- In a dark future, a famous teen criminal and the female teen prodigy out to stop him discover they have a common enemy. A Young Adult book discussion of "Legend" at Barnes & Noble on Touhy on Monday.
- Have a little one? Visit the Preschool and Daycare Fair Wednesday evening at the Niles Public Library. Meet lots of schools in one place. Simplicity!
- Sample pizza from 11 different local pizzerias, all for a good cause Thursday at 5:30 p.m. It's Pizza Wars, the Niles Township D219 High Schools Fundraiser to help needy students. Also--the mayors of Skokie, Niles, MG and Lincolnwood will compete in an eating contest.
