Jewish Rosh Hashana Services Taking Place This Week
Plus, garbage days follow the holiday schedule, and the Daughters of the American Revolution meet.
Here's what's going on in Skokie this week:
- Because of the Labor Day holiday, garbage collection is moved a day later than your regular day. To schedule a yard waste pickup, call this number before noon Tuesday, Sept. 3.
- Weds. Sept. 4. Jewish High Holiday services are free of charge at Dorotenu, and all are welcome, but make reservations. Services held at Devonshire Cultural Center.
- The Daughters of the American Revolution hold a monthly meeting and lunch Wednesday at the Park Ridge Country Club.
- On Thursday, Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie offers Rosh Hashana services, including an interpretive service. No charge; donations accepted, child care provided.
