I commented on my non-relationship with Ray before (that I had Allstate insurance for many years and NEVER met him, despite hand-delivering my payment twice a year to his office), but I don't see it here on Patch.
Anyway, I was going through my mail and received a letter from Allstate Motor Club. It's addressed to "Dear Valued Allstate Policyholder". Ray, I cancelled with Allstate over 5 years ago. Looks like you're still keeping up the personal touch: Flood someone with junk mail AFTER they've cancelled. (Yes, this is the the motor club, but I get letters from your office, too, asking me to come back. Too little, too late.) And it seems like a waste of money to me that's then passed on to your policyholders.
P.S. This letter lists "5 ways Allstate Motor Club beats AAA", including paying "just $52 per year". Ironically, and unlike Allstate, I haven't had a premium increase with my new carrier, AAA, every single time. And the last time I paid close to $52 for motor club with Allstate was 1994 - $49.95. The following year it went up to $54.95. 5 years later, $59.95. 5 years, $69.95 (ouch!!). 2 years, $74.95. 2 years, $84.00. It did go back down to $63.00. So, what do you get for $52? Or, is that just for NEW customers???

Mr. Wegner, I'm glad you've had more success with them. It's been less than 2 weeks since my last note, & I just received another mailing from the Allstate motor club, a "Special offer for: Allstate policyholders". And now, if I sign up, I can get "Free his and hers watches...yours to keep no matter what". At least NOW I know why my premium always went up.
