I live in the neighborhood of Skokie and would love to say that Larsa's is by far my favorite Mediterranean/Assyrian style restaurant in the area. At Larsa's, you'll find an endless choice of appetizers such as manaeesh, laham ajeen, mahamara, vegetarian combo (dolma, falafel, hummus, baba ganosh) and salads like taboule and fatoush. Oh, and their lentil soup is delicious. The main entrées include beef shawerma, beef kabob, chicken teka, and fish (white and salmon) are served with side of rice pilaf. There is always fresh bread (similar to nan) served with your meal and a side of torshi (picked vegetables).
