Founded in 1999, the mission of The Douglas Center is to provide assistance for those with special needs, including work programs, developmental rehabilitation, vocational skills training and a seniors program to adults with developmental disabilities. Specifically, the program offers a wide variety of services to clients, such as a janitorial skills training program and a developmental skills program for clients with severe/profound developmentally disabilities. There's also a focus on developing and/or improving existing social skills, as well as independent living skill.
