We had my Great Grandmother's dresser refinished by the Wood Wizard. At first it looked great, but quickly the top clear coat started chipping off. I contacted them and it took them 10 months to even address the issue. When we called they kept telling us they would stop by to look at it. Months would go by, we would call again only to be told same thing. Around Thanksgiving we told were told they would call a week later and set up a date to come out. They never called or returned my 3 subsequent messages. Finally, one day when I called he answered the phone.
Once I finally got ahold of them, I realized the only chance I had for them to address the issue was if I sent pictures. After emailing pictures, they responded by telling us that the damage was the result of someone 'jabbing things into the dresser' and it was not their fault. While this theory gets them out of additional work, it is not what happened and there was not more we could do. We will have to have the dresser refinished by a 2nd company and would not under any circumstances recommend the Wood Wizard.

The Wood Wizzard is a great family business. The finishing work is superb. Everyone I met at the company exhibits love and passion for what they do. The owner, Perry, has a slight problem returning calls, which of course can be frustrating. We had my walnut art deco bedroom set reparied and refinished this past fall and it looks beautiful. The veneers were in terrible shape from being in my Parents basement for many years, and now I can't even tell where it used to be damaged. The finish is soft and smooth to the touch with a wonderful satiny sheen. My family's furniture will always be entrusted to the care of the Wood Wizzard. I would highly recommend having your furniture or wooden antiques worked on by this extraordinary group of guys.
