Built in 1959, Old Orchard Junior High was formerly known as Sharp Corner School, but was moved to its currentMore location after the school outgrew itself. 

The school has students divided up into two groups: Oracles and Olympians. In most cases, students that play in orchestra are Oracles and students that play in band are Olympians. While these two groups have separate teachers, they act as a whole when it comes to sports or school activities. 

Old Orchard Junior High is also home to one of the districts largest middle schools, having anywhere between 600 t0 700 students per calendar year. The school is also has an early childhood daycare center. 

East Prairie Public School

Once a small schoolhouse with less than 100 children, East Prairie School has grown into a school with more than 400More students. The school has been at its current location since 1956, and has seen several additions added as the school has grown over the years. 

East Prairie enrolls students from kindergarten through the eighth grade and the kids are offered a wide variety of extracurricular activities such as band, chorus, athletics, computer club and year book club, to name a few. 

The schools Web site also has a variety of features for parents to use such as a "homework blog," a forum and a calendar for events.
