Located down the street from the Skokie Public Library and in the heart of downtown Skokie, the Village of SkokieMore City Hall offers a wide variety services to Skokie citizens. 

Citizens can purchase a pet license, sticker renewal or any village-related permits just inside the building. The City Hall is also the home to Mayor George Van Dusen. Numerous hearings are held on the first floor.

The Skokie Tennis Center, close to Skokie's downtown area, is a huge facility designed exclusively for playingMore tennis. The outdoor center has eight courts in sum and each can be illuminated for nighttime games. The space also has a number of benches so that if all the courts are filled, players can wait in relative comfort. There is a parking lot and a portable washroom facility to the immediate east of the courts.
Skokie Theatre Music Foundation

An offical landmark of downtown Skokie, the Skokie Theatre Music Foundation is a not for profit organzation aimed atMore promoting the musical arts. Established in 1912, the Skokie Theatre Music Foundation received a $1.5 million renovation and was even said to be "one of the 10 best sounding theatres in the entire world" by Steven Cochran of Meyer Sound. 

Since 2004, the theatre has been managed by Al Curtis. One of Curtis' goals is to go around colleges and help aspiring artists.  Curtis said the ultimate goal is to "keep the theatre open, all the time."
