Police Release Sketch of Man who Robbed, Hijacked Skokie Woman

Police have released a sketch of a man that they believe robbed and hijacked a 58-year-old Skokie woman in the 4800 block of Carol Street on Jan. 26. The victim was unloading groceries from her vehicle prior to being attacked, police said.

Police have released a sketch of a man they believe is responsible for attacking, robbing and hijacking a Skokie woman on Jan. 26. The incident occurred in the 4800 block of Carol Street around 12:12 p.m. as the woman was unloading groceries from her SUV, police said. "The reason the sketching doesn't have any hair or eyebrows is because the offender was wearing a hood," said officer Joe Marzigliano. The man was described as a tall white male, about 20 to 25-years-of-age with a skinny build, police said. According to the police report, the offender was wearing a hood and black jacket at the time of the robbery. The woman's vehicle - a 2004 silver Toyota Highlander - has yet to be recovered.
