Nacho, a lively young Border Collie mix, combines calm and sweetness with a high-energy personality. Nacho tends to express himself through barking--he is a Dog Of Opinions and not afraid to share them, which is why he needs to be in a single-family house rather than a condo or apartment. Nacho is also an agile pup who loves playing with toys, especially when someone's around to toss balls for him. Inquisitive yet naive, Nacho needs help maturing, but has great promise thanks to his willing spirit. Roxie, a beautiful brindle-colored boxer mix (with a touch, some CARE volunteers think, of greyhound as well), has had a rough time of it recently. Her family had to give her up because their life got too busy. But they taught her how to love, right along with excellent manners, basic training and of course, housebreaking. Roxie loves everyone she meets and greets people with a happy wagging tail. She has a gentle heart and approaches life with a light touch and polite manners. That said, life in the shelter is hard on her since she's such a social dog who would like nothing better than to hang around with people. Roxie already knows a lot of basic obedience. CARE volunteers are trying to keep her sharp by helping Roxie practice her …
