It's Official: Purple Hotel Set For Auction

Is it staying or is it going? After years of debate the answer to that question has finally reached its conclusion. The notorious Purple Hotel in Lincolnwood, along with two adjacent commercial properties, will be listed for auction by Sheldon Good & Company of New York on May 11. This is the first time the 8.5-acre site has been offered together, according to a press release from Sheldon Good. Lincolnwood Village Manager Tim Wiberg is enthusiastic about the listing. "We feel there is a tremendous amount of opportunity and versatility with this property, given its prime location and scale," Wiberg said.
