Indian Cooking Spices Air at Bloomingdales

Newscaster, author Anupy Singla wows crowd with dishes, credits her children for inspiration.

While Bloomingdales shoppers were searching for sweaters or dresses, Anupy Singla was dishing up some of her healthy Indian cooking on Saturday. Her second appearance at the department store follows the publication of her book The Indian Slow Cooker: 50 Healthy, Easy, Authentic Recipes, which is currently the No. 1 selling Indian cookbook on Amazon. "We love having her here," said Arleene Schira, who has been orchestrating the Bloomingdale's Cooking Demonstration Program for 14 years.  "Anupy is dynamic and is so passionate about her cooking.
