When Does Daylight Saving Time End in 2012?

Wondering whether you'll be "falling back" or "falling forward?" The big time change for 2012 is coming up and will be here before you know it.

Those 7:30 a.m. commutes will get darker before they get lighter. Officially, Daylight Savings Time doesn’t end for a couple more days – officially at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. Remember, you’ll “fall back” and set your clocks back one hour. Many electronic devices automatically adjust when Daylight Savings Time begins or ends. When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, it’s also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure device are in working order. Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time. The next daylight savings begins on March 10, 2013. While you will most likely be sleeping when that extra hour falls back, you'll still have plenty of …

Daylight Savings 2012 Weekend: Fall Back

"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise," said Benjamin Franklin, one of the original champions of Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight Savings 2012: Time Changes Sunday

Time will move up an hour as we 'spring forward' in 2012 thanks to Daylight Savings.

There's a price you pay for that extra hour of sunlight. It's nearly time to 'Spring Ahead' and that means at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, we'll be springing our clocks ahead—and losing an hour of the day, for daylight saving time. The good news: sunset will be an hour later. You may have noticed the annual tradition of daylight saving time has crept forward a bit. We used to spring ahead on the first Sunday in April and fall back on last Sunday in October. But a couple years ago, Congress changed the date—adding more daylight saving time to the calendar. This year, it will run from March 11 until Nov. 4. Unless you're in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands. They don't do daylight saving time. Around the world, about 75 …
