The Illinois Lottery has announced that a Skokie gas station sold a $200,000 lottery ticket on Tuesday.
A Marathon gas station in Skokie sold a $200,000 scratch off ticket on Tuesday, according to the Illinois Lottery Twitter account. The ticket? Blues Bingo. The winner, who is only being announced as Szabo L., paid $5 for the winning card. The scratch off may look complex, as it's one of those long rectangular shaped lotto tickets with hundreds of numbers. In short, though, it's pretty much like playing Bingo! The gas station that sold the winning ticket can be found at 3325 Howard St. in Skokie. -- Patch on Facebook

The jackpot is now $500 million and may grow larger by Wednesday’s drawing, lottery officials said. “When (the jackpot) is this large, it’s not unusual for the jackpot to go up. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets pumped up again,” said Chanele Newton, a Northstar Lottery Group spokesman. Northstar runs the Illinois State Lottery.
