Car Reported Stolen from 9200 Keystone

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen auto A car parked in the 9200 block of Kenton Avenue on April 10. It is unclear how the 2005 Acura vehicle was stolen, police said. Possession of marijuana Michelle Smith, 20, of Chicago and Bennett Lumbrera, 22 of Skokie, were both charged with possession of drug equipment and possession of cannabis. Locker Room Theft, Possession of Marijuana

Possession of cannabis Christopher Robinson, 26, of Skokie, was charged with possession of marijuana on April 10. Robinson was stopped in the 8400 block of Keystone Avenue for a traffic violation around 7:50 p.m., police said. Thursday Blotter: AC Unit Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of marijuana Hasban Shaikh, 24, of Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis on April 13. Shaikh was stopped in the 4600 block of Grove Street for having no rear license plate around 1:50 a.m., police said. Criminal trespass A car parked in the 3500 block of Greenleaf Street was entered and rummaged through by an unknown person(s) on April 9. While items in the vehicle were moved, nothing was reported missing, police said. Stolen AC unit Police responded to a theft at Odeion Music, 4115 Oakton St., on April 9. Gang Graffiti Found in Vacant Apartment

Battery complaint A man that was upset with his government related benefits grabbed and pushed an employee at the Illinois Department of Human Services, 8020 St Louis Ave., on April 1. The offender fled the scene before police arrived. Theft at Macy’s Yasmin Abulsheikh, 19, of Morton Grove, was charged with retail theft on April 1. The offender attempted to steal clothing and jewelry from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall, police said. Homeowner reports rocks stolen A homeowner in the 4200 block of Lee Street reported 10 medium-sized landscaping rocks stolen from her front yard on April 1. The estimated loss was around $200, the report stated. Stolen cell phone A man reported his smartphone stolen after watching a movie at AMC Showplace Theaters …

Theft from auto A car parked in the 8300 block of Tripp Avenue was reported burglarized on March 27. It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen, police said. License plates stolen A man reported that both of his license plates were stolen from his vehicle parked in the 8600 block of Crawford Avenue on March 25. Hotel theft Police responded to a theft at Hampton Inn, 5201 Old Orchard Road, on March 26. According to the report, several pieces of clothing, electronics and personal belongings were missing. Pot possession Kaelah Rose-Victoria Smith, 19, of Skokie, was charged with possession of marijuana on March 27. Smith was arrested in the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road, police said. Graffiti Police noticed graffiti in the 5000 block of Carol Street on March 21. According to the report, red spray was used to write on a white plastic fence. Stolen wallet, fraudulent charges A woman reported two of her credit cards stolen after dinning at Panera Bread, 9611 Skokie Blvd., on March 21. The woman told police that she left her wallet unattended for a short period of time. Theft at Nordstrom Tyler Smith, 26, of Evanston, and Alysa Smith, 26, also of Evanston, were charged with retail theft on March 21. At the time of the incident, the duo were both working at Nordstrom in Old Orchard Mall. According to police, the two attempted to defraud the company by using debit cards that did not belong to them to purchase clothing. …

Monday Blotter: Robbery Attempt at 7-Eleven

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery attempt at 7-Eleven Officers responded to a robbery at 7-Eleven, 3441 Church St., on March 20. According to police, a man approached the counter and said, "Do you accept Link cards?" The employee said they do not. The man then said to the clerk, "Give me all the money in the drawer," according to the report. At that point, a second customer approached the counter, causing the offender to flee the scene, police said. The suspect was described as a black male, about 5-foot-10, medium build, wearing a black coat over a hooded sweatshirt, police said. Tuesday Blotter: Ref Battered for Bad Call

"Bad call" Michael Lee, of Chicago, was charged with battery on March 6. Lee attacked a referee following a recreational basketball game at the Weber Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, police said. According to the report, Lee thought the referee was "terrible," and grabbed the official's face and pushed him. Teen scuffle Police responded to a battery complaint at the intersection of Main Street and Niles Center Road on March 7 around 4:20 p.m. According to police, two teens got into an argument and began fighting. Student Victim of Strong Armed Robbery

Student robbed A Niles West student was robbed after trying to sell his Apple iPhone to a peer on March 6. According to police, the teen let numerous students at Niles West know he was selling his phone. One juvenile said he was interested in purchasing the smartphone and the two met in an alley in the 8000 block of Kilpatrick Avenue around 6:30 p.m. During the transaction, however, a second unknown offender approached the teen from behind and grabbed the phone. Both subjects would then flee the scene. The case is currently under investigation, police said. Unexpected burglar A homeowner was greeted to a burglar after an offender broke into his home in the 4900 block of Church Street on March 1. When the person saw the resident, he ran out through an east side door, police said. No arrests were made.
