Skokie Police Respond to Shots Fired Complaint

Officers responded to a shots fired complaint near the intersection of Lamon and Hull avenues on April 28.

Two different residents reported hearing gunshots fired near the intersection of Hull and Lamon avenues around 10 p.m. on April 28, according to police. One caller reported hearing three shots while the second said four were fired. Officers canvassed the area and found nothing of evidentiary value, police said. Four People In Custody After Shots Fired in Neighboring Evanston

Police took four people into custody for investigation after someone fired a gun at Dempster Street and Fowler Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday evening, according to police.

Four people were taken into custody after someone fired a gun in neighboring Evanston Saturday evening, according to police. Cmdr. Jason Parrott said officers responded to a call of shots fired at Dempster Street and Fowler Avenue around 7 p.m., where they found a spent shell casing. Parrott said a gun was fired but no one was shot. Police brought four people into custody for futher investigation by detectives in connection with the incident, according to Parrott. Stray Bullet Lands in Resident's Home

A stray bullet went through the home of a Skokie resident in the 9100 Kilpatrick Avenue on Nov. 24. An Evanston teen was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon.

Police responded to a shots fired complaint in the 9100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue on Nov. 24 around 7:20 p.m. Initial investigation revealed damage to a residence in the 4700 block of Davis Street that was caused when a bullet was fired through a glass window, police said. When officers arrived to the scene, they saw a large group of male and female juveniles in the 9100 block of Kenton Avenue. The suspects would soon flee but were later apprehended in the 4500 block of Church Street. An Evanston teen, 16, was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon, due to his possession of brass knuckles, according to police. Minors Steal Alcohol - Employee 'Fires' Back

A Skokie man is charged with felony discharge of a firearm after shooting at a group of teens that stole liquor from his family's business on Friday. It marks the third known shooting in Skokie since May.

A Skokie man is facing felony charges after he allegedly shot at several juveniles that stole a bottle of alcohol from his family's business, Dollar House Plus, 4616 Oakton St., on Friday. It marks the third known shooting in Skokie since May 23. Karam Odisho, 27, of the 8000 block of Kolmar Avenue, was charged with felony discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a weapon, police said. What began as a petty theft, ended in a shooting after Odisho chased several teens that stole a bottle of vodka from his family's store. After catching up with the group, Odisho fired one shot in the direction of the offenders, according to the police report.
