Cops: Possible Drug Transaction Led to Stabbing

Police responded to a stabbing that happened outside a 7-Eleven on Jan. 20. Police believe the incident may have involved a drug transaction.

One man was transported to Skokie Hospital after he was stabbed and robbed of his iPhone on Jan. 20. According to police, the incident may have stemmed from a narcotics transaction. The injured person told police that he walked out of 7-Eleven, 4834 Church St., with a friend, and was approached by another man who asked for a cigarette, according to police. While handing out a cigarette, the offender grabbed the victim's iPhone. A struggle would soon ensue and the cell phone owner was stabbed by a sharp object, police said. The first offender was described as a black male, about 25 to 30-years-of age, 6-feet-tall and about 220-pounds. The man was also wearing all black and had twisted braids, police said. Total of 29 Teens Issued Citations after Student's Stabbing

A total of 29 disorderly conduct citations were issued to youths involved in an incident where a Niles North teen was stabbed at Emerson Park on Nov. 9.

A total of 29 disorderly conduct citations were issued to youths involved in an incident where a Niles North teen was stabbed at Emerson Park on Nov. 9, police said. The citations are in addition to the felony aggravated battery charge that a 17-year-old Mather High School student a few days following the stabbing. Patch first reported that a 17-year-old Niles North teen was stabbed and hospitalized following a fight in Skokie on Nov. 9. Teen Charged in Stabbing of Niles North Student

A 17-year-old teen has been charged with the stabbing of a Niles North High School student. The incident occurred on Nov. 9 at Emerson Park, police said.

A 17-year-old Mather High School student has been charged with the stabbing of a Niles North student, police said today. The teen was charged with one count of aggravated battery. The minor is alleged to have stabbed a Niles North student at Emerson Park on Nov. 9. That student was sent to two different hospitals to treat a lacerated liver, or stab wound to the mid-section, police said. Officers responded to Emerson Park, 9530 Lawler Ave., regarding a report of a large group of people fighting. According to police reports, students from Niles West, Niles North and Mather High School were present. Niles North Teen Stabbed, Hospitalized Following Rumble at Skokie Park

Students from Mather High School in Chicago, Niles North and Niles West met to fight at Emerson Park in Skokie on Friday. One student was stabbed and hospitalized as a result of the incident, police said.

A 17-year-old Niles North teen was stabbed and hospitalized following a fight in Skokie on Friday. The skirmish involved students from Niles North, Niles West and Mather High School in Chicago. Police were dispatched to Emerson Park, 9350 Lawler Ave., around 10:30 p.m. after a caller stated that about “20 to 30 people [were] fighting in the park,” according to the report. When police arrived, however, there were no subjects at the park but multiple coats and cell phones could be seen near a park bench. Shortly after canvassing the area, officers received a call from Skokie Hospital about a patient who was brought to the emergency room with a stab wound to his mid-section, the report stated.
