Jersey is a beautiful Torbie (Tortoiseshell Tabby) lady with soft, fluffy fur. Jersey says, "I'm full of spunk and sass, but also have a sweet side. I like to grumble, but it's all talk and catitude. I was found in a carrier outside of Evanston North Shore Hospital. I like to be with people and will be a great companion with lots of purrsonality to share. Adopt ME: Angie, an Angel In Disguise

Each week, we feature pets available for adoption from C.A.R.E. at Evanston's Animal Shelter.

Some cats are mooches for attention. Other cats, like C.A.R.E. cat Angie, prefer to call the shots. Angie, a striking, "Rubenesque" tortie/calico mix, has been living at C.A.R.E. for more than a year now. She doesn't seem to be a fan of other cats, but she appears to be okay with dogs who are polite to her. But Angie loves people. If you sit down, Angie will make a beeline for your lap and some cuddles.  That said, Angie is a cat who expects respect. She can be quite opinionated and talkative, as C.A.R.E. volunteers have noted. If you do something that she doesn't appreciate (like trying to pet her tummy) she'll let you know she doesn't like it. Jett, A True Jewel Among Cats

Each week we feature pets available for adoption from C.A.R.E. at Evanston's Animal Shelter.

Jett, a gorgeous long-haired gray cat with golden eyes and long white whiskers, was very scared when he came to the shelter. But he's blossomed with the love from the many C.A.R.E. volunteers. Jett "can be very talkative and likes to know that people are listening to the important things he has to say," volunteers have observed. Jett especially likes fuzzy mice and cat charmers, but what he REALLY loves is being petted and cuddled. Jett's a big fellow, ready to dispense much love to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. C.A.R.E. cat Angie, a striking, Rubenesque tortie/calico mix, arrived at C.A.R.E. due to a disagreement between her and the other resident cats. But she loves people.
