Danielle Perlin, Neighbor

Growing up in Skokie, I've always been interested in learning about different languages and cultures; I have many friends who are immigrants to America. In college, I studied abroad in Israel at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. While there, I traveled to Jordan, Egypt, Greece and the Czech Republic. In July 2010, I visited England, Austria and Germany.

Music is another passion of mine; I've played flute and piano my entire life, and I took voice lessons in college.

I love the art of journalism, because I love hearing peoples' stories and reporting those stories.
