The Village of Skokie Finance Division at Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street, will be open with special Saturday hours on August 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon for residents to purchase vehicle stickers that must be displayed on windshields by August 31.

All vehicles registered with the State of Illinois to an address within the corporate limits of the Village of Skokie must display a valid Village sticker.  Even if the vehicle is not physically in Skokie, it must display a Village sticker. The address appearing in the Secretary of State's records for the vehicle is the criterion and the owner of record is responsible for obtaining the sticker.

Passenger vehicle stickers purchased through August 31 cost $20.  After that date, the cost increases to $30.  Other vehicles have different licensing fees.   Vehicle sticker renewals may be made online at www.skokie.org through August 31 at midnight.  Payment is accepted from Visa, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards.  The Village does not charge an additional fee for paying with a credit card.

Residents in Zones 1 through 6 will be provided a zone parking permit only upon determination by the Village that they live in the particular zone and have already purchased a valid Skokie vehicle sticker for the 2013/14 licensing year.  The resident will be required to purchase a vehicle sticker before being provided with the zone parking permit.

Residents in Zones 1 through 6 will be charged the required fee of $2 per zone parking permit.  One book of twenty visitors’ passes will be sold to each address or apartment/unit in a 30-day period. The cost is now $2.00 per book.  Residents will be required to provide justification for requests to purchase more than one book in any 30-day period.

Pet licenses also are available at Village Hall.  With a veterinarian’s statement of spay/neutering, the pet license fee is $6.  Without the statement the fee is $12.  A current rabies certificate must be presented at the time of purchase whether purchasing in-person or by mail.  Pet licenses cannot be renewed online at this time.
