Skokie Man Had Loaded Gun, Cocaine, Police Say
He was charged with multiple felonies. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.
Evanston police arrested a Skokie man and charged him with multiple felonies Saturday after they discovered drugs and a loaded gun in his car, according to police.
Eduardo Santana, 36, a convicted felon and resident of the 9100 block of Lawler Avenue in Skokie, was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, all felonies, according to police. He was also charged with possession of a firearm without a valid FOID, possession of firearm ammunition without a valid firearm ID and unlawful possession of cannabis, all misdemeanors, police said.
Police were holding his car in connection with a burglary investigation when they executed a search warrant on Saturday, June 1, and discovered approximately 6 grams of cocaine in multiple packages for sale, 10 grams of cannabis and a loaded .38 caliber revolver, police said.
